River Wools

Today I found myself in Terre Haute on business so after work I headed to the nearest yarn store of course!

I just love exploring local yarn shops and today I found myself at River Wools: A Knitting Place, it was a fun place to check out. The lady inside was really friendly and helpful!

I would suggest if your passing through Terre Haute, In., definitely take a moment to stop in for a browse.

They also had a great selection of books and as a lot of you know I'm a sucker for the books!

I also found these great skeins of yarn that seemed to have my name on them, so I picked them up and took them home, well back to the hotel for now :) I think they are going to become a hat for my friend and co-worker Said, he liked them.

I seem to be drawn to the Cascade!

  1. Seriously, I've used cascade 220 to make sweaters, hats, scarves, mittens, even socks! It's a fantastic yarn.

  2. Thanks for dropping by. I wasn't here that day, but I love the picture and I am so glad you enjoyed the store. Come again! Happy knitting.

  3. The owner is actually the reason why I could knit in class. She forbade her husband (my professor) from asking me to stop knitting.

It was so so much easier to pay attention because of it.

  4. I love River Wools, glad you enjoyed it. When listing reasons why we should move closer to Terre Haute, it was in the top 5 on my list. :)

On a side note- how do you get your project counters to show on blogspot? I've googled my eyes out looking for a hack for that.
